Towards the end of August Christopher and I headed to Kerry for a few days prior to the starting of the school term. We climbed Carrauntoohil – the highest mountain in Ireland for the first time. We planned to climb the mountain by one of the nicer routes and followed the route in Jim Ryan’s book. As we approached the higher part of the climb we noticed a group approaching and clearly heading in the same direction. Not being familiar with the precise route the guides leading the group invited us to join them.
It was a fantastic feat and many thanks to Felicia Thomas www.scrapzville.com and Jim Long for assisting us.
