Salmon fishing on Lough Corrib System

The king of fish- Salmon are on the move with some excellent fishing at the Weir in Galway City,so we are looking forward to seeing some silver flashes passing our garden. With some heavy showers forecast for the next few days we expect to see the Salmon running the waterfall in Oughterard. I will do my best to catch a shot of them- it is such a fascinating spectacle.

Meanwhile Greg found some time out of his busy schedule to fish the Weir in Galway during the week, using a very cunning fly( so I’m told) he managed to catch his quota of 3 fish in under 2 hours!

Pictured below is a very happy Greg with his constant companion Spud – who likes to share in the credit
