Christmas day 2016

With Christmas  just around the corner,  we are left wondering where did that year go? It seems like only yesterday when we were on our Peruvian adventure.

We had a great year in Camillaun Lodge, welcoming back many of our regulars and getting to know new people who promise to return. We welcomed more walkers this year than ever.

2016 marked the 20th year of “The Wathen Party” coming to fish with us. Dave Wathen, Andrew Priestly, Harry Vernon and Jeff Sissons. It is always such a pleasure looking after them, four true gentlemen who have  a great attitude to fishing and life in general.

There is no doubt, the biggest highlight of the year was the visit of the Italian Fly fishing team who stayed with us prior to The FIPS Mouche Masters Flyfishing Competition  which was held in June. Eduardo Ferrero, Captain of the team has been coming to fish with us on Lough Corrib for many years now. We were thrilled when the team became the overall winners of the competition. They called into us after the event sporting beautiful medals

Recently we had the launch of The Great Fishing Houses of Ireland’s new website, a marketing group that we helped establish in 1998. Lough Inagh Lodge hosted the event. We were delighted to have Peter O’ Reilly and his wife Rose attend, Peter has provided the fishing information on all members’ fisheries

Finally we would like to wish you and your families  a very happy Christmas, we look forward to welcoming you back to Camillaun Lodge whenever that might be! If you would like to make a reservation or an enquiry for 2017 please contact us after the 9th of January

Keep safe

Greg, Deirdre and Christopher
