Well it has been a very quiet period with only a few locally based people hiring boats from time to time. However, all the social distancing rules did not put off Oughterard based Karl Keating from proposing to a very surprised Fiona Walsh on a trip from Camillaun Lodge to Inchagoill island – they clearly had a wonderful trip! The sun has brought out some really beautiful Paeonia roses that beamed colour in the garden here are a couple of my favourites. Now our efforts turn to all the new rules for opening the house and providing breakfast! With the additional extensive cleaning now required due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are asking that our guests come for a minimum stay of two nights – but with all there is to do here at Camillaun and around the village of Oughterard a trip of two days is not nearly enough. Looking forward to seeing guests here again from the 1st July.
