So the new reality of running a B&B during Covid 19 has kicked off. We have made all the recommended changes to our operation while still retaining the homely feel of the place. I have a nice cert from Faite Ireland saying I have received training and am compliant with Covid 19 protocols. I hope that reassures any one thinking of staying with us.
Meanwhile we are seriously making up for the dry period we had during April and May, water levels have risen greatly both here and in Connemara. Greg visited one of his favourite places last week – the Erriff where he caught and released a fresh run salmon of about 4lbs and he tells me he lost an even bigger one!

With schools closed early we have had some great families take a boat out on lough Corrib, do some exploring, fishing and swimming. Donal and Ben Mahon have been smitten by a day out on the lake and have introduced the experience to family and friends. Ben is a true delight, so enthusiastic and full of wonder

They also took some lovely photos which they wished to share with us, this was before the flood! A picture of tranquility

Now you Seamus fans are probably wondering how he is coping with the opening of the B&B, he generally is keeping to his comfy spots but

one thing he does not like is the RAIN!

We had an unexpected visitor one morning in our boats. Greg did the needful and returned him to the wild. What a wonderful creature
