A Quiet Christmas and Connemara Walks

P1130667

This time of year we usually head to some far off location for a holiday. We like off the beaten track, and have been fortunate to see some amazing places over the years. With Covid-19 this is not possible for now, so we had a lovely home Christmas with some of Deirdre’s family without Christopher for the first time as he is currently working in Auckland.

Of course, we had to have a 10 foot tree to try and fill the hall – it must be a natural one and it is always a challenge to find a nice one but we were very happy with this years one.

Christmas dinner for six, a dog and a cat and lots of space for us all. Everyone chipped in and we have a wonderful celebration.

The next few days we hit the beaches of Connemara, the old railway line near Maam cross and the Western Way to help walk off the extra pounds- so much lovely scenery within a short drive, we are so fortunate!
